STEEL SHEET PILES FOR MARINE, INFRASTRUCTURE & RETAINING WALL PROJECTS

ESC is a distributor of a wide range of steel sheet pile products from leading manufacturers.

ESC's sheet pile product line incorporates the largest number of profiles in the world, with over 450 profiles amongst 13  pile profile designs. The profiles vary from 0.11in to 0.87in thickness and 15.75in width all the way up to 70.87in.

These include Hot Rolled Sheet Piles, Cold Rolled Sheet Piles, and Cold Formed Sheet Piles. ESC is a pioneer of Wide Profile Cold Formed Sheet Piles backed by global patents.

ESC has economically supplied sheet piles to projects from as little as 8 tons all the way up to an excess of 20,000 tons. We are proud to say we have delivered to every continent in the world, including Antarctica.

STEEL SHEET PILE SUPPLIER

Steel sheet piles are long structural sections with interlocking edges that connect to form a continuous wall. These walls are widely used for retaining soil or water in both temporary and permanent structures. The performance of a sheet pile wall depends on the profile geometry and the soil conditions in which it is installed. Its primary function is to transfer lateral earth or water pressures from the retained side of the wall into the surrounding ground, providing stability and support.

ESC Steel LLC supplies a comprehensive range of steel sheet piling solutions. Steel sheet piles are manufactured using two primary methods: hot rolling and cold forming. The main difference between these processes is the interlock design. Hot rolled sheet piles generally feature tighter interlocks, making them better suited for demanding driving conditions and applications where low permeability is critical. Cold formed sheet piles offer an economical alternative and perform effectively in many retaining and earth support applications.

ESC Steel LLC steel sheet piles provide an efficient and reliable solution for earth retention, excavation support, and water control. Their interlocking design helps limit water seepage while delivering excellent structural performance. ESC offers one of the industry's most extensive product ranges, with more than 15 series and over 400 profiles, including hot rolled, cold rolled, and cold formed sheet piles available in a variety of steel grades and production standards.

With more than 25 years of global experience, ESC sheet piles have been used successfully on projects across every continent, including Antarctica. Combined with a strong commitment to quality, reliable delivery schedules, and consistent customer satisfaction, ESC has established itself as a trusted sheet pile supplier worldwide. Applications include ports and harbors, river revetments, retaining walls, cutoff walls, slope protection systems, cofferdams, and other marine and civil infrastructure projects.

HOT ROLLED STEEL SHEET PILES

Hot Rolled Sheet Piles are manufactured by shaping steel at high temperatures during the rolling process. This production method allows for the manufacture of thicker and stronger sections compared to cold formed alternatives. Hot rolled sheet piles are typically produced in accordance with BS EN 10248 Parts 1 and 2, ensuring high dimensional accuracy and consistent performance.

A key advantage of hot rolled sheet piles is their tighter interlocking clutch, which provides improved water tightness and enhanced performance in demanding driving conditions. These characteristics make hot rolled sections particularly suitable for marine structures, deep excavations, cofferdams, and projects requiring low permeability and high structural capacity.

COLD ROLLED & COLD FORMED STEEL SHEET PILES

Cold Rolled and Cold Formed Sheet Piles are manufactured by shaping steel at room temperature, rather than at elevated temperatures. This process produces profiles with a constant thickness across the width of the section and allows for a wide variety of sheet pile geometries to meet different project requirements. Cold rolled and cold formed sheet piles are typically produced in accordance with BS EN 10249 Parts 1 and 2.

Cold rolling is a continuous manufacturing process that forms sheet piles from hot rolled steel coils, while cold forming produces sheet piles in discrete lengths from either decoiled hot rolled coils or steel plate. Both methods offer flexibility in profile design, enabling a broad range of section widths and depths.

Cold rolled and cold formed sheet piles provide an economical and efficient solution for earth retention, excavation support, flood protection, and marine construction projects. Their versatility, availability in a wide range of profiles, and cost-effectiveness make them a popular choice for many civil engineering and infrastructure applications.
